New York Power Authority (NYPA), a utility managing around a quarter of the electric load in the US state, is seeking to collaborate with renewable energy and energy storage developers and operators, as part of the state’s push to deploy more clean energy resources.

The utility has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to “understand potential interest and opportunities for NYPA to collaborate with renewable developers, contractors and companies to develop, own and operate renewable energy generating projects and storage systems, including solar PV energy, wind energy and battery energy storage”. Responses need to be submitted by 7 February 2024.
